Tuesday's semi-final matches Maccabi Tel-Aviv vs. Maccabi Rishon in game one. The second match will face off second and third seeded, defending champions Altshuler Galil Gilboa vs. Hapoel Jerusalem Before the FF takes place and immediately after the somewhat tough playoff series, the BSL hosted the grand player award event naming this season's top athletes. All-First-Team Starting Five: Moran Roth (13.5ppg and 5.9apg), Gal Mekel (13ppg, 6asp and 4.2rpg), Jeremy Pargo (9.3ppg and 6.1aps), Lior Eliyahu (13.6ppg, 5rpg and 2.9apg) and Dwayne Mitchell (15.6ppg, 7.4rpg and 4apg). Sixth Man of the Year: Yuval Naimy, 11.8ppg and 2.7apg in 23.8 minutes of play. Defensive Player of the Year: Doron Perkins, despite playing just 22 out of Maccabi's season 30 games (regular season and playoffs), Perkins was undoubtedly names DPY. With averages of 14.2ppg, 4.6rpg, 5asp and 2.3spg, 'Perk' was every court opponent's nightmare. In the league's 20th round, Perkins recorded his first professional career triple-double of 10 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists in 34 minutes of play. Rookie of the Year: Yan Martin from the southern Israeli team Maccabi Ashdod. Yan posted a superb division one rookie season scoring 6.4ppg (38.5% from beyond the arc), and recording 2.5 rebounds per game in 20 minutes of play. Season Breakthrough: Nizan Hanochi. The Israeli young talent helped lead his team to the local Final-Four beating his home town club Bnei Hasharon in four playoff games. Hanuki's season averages were 9.7ppg, 3.3rpg and 2.4apg. During the playoffs Hanuki recorded averages of 6.3ppg, 2.3rpg and 4apg. Leading Rebounder: Shawn James. In his third and what appears to be his final season with Bnei Hasharon before joining Maccabi, James recorded the best averages of his career along with a number of remarkable defensive performances. James posted 13.5ppg, 2.1apg and grabbed a whopping 11.1rpg. James also had an average of 3.2 blocks per game where during one season match he posted a professional career record of 11 blocks. James' rebounding performances could be found on the stat sheets where total numbers of rebounds per game will show 9 (5 times), 10 (3 times), 14 (twice), 17 (twice), 18 and 19 single rebounding performances. Assist Leader: Shmuel Brener. In his 10th professional season and second with Netanya, Brener finally completed his goal of finishing at the very top of the assist ladder. Brener finished the season with an average of 6.2 assists per game, finishing with season performances of dishing out the rock 8, 9, 10 and 13 times during games. Leading Scorer: Lee Nailon. The six year NBA veteran was the most hyped player all season long. Despite of failing to lead his organization to the Final-Four, Nailon could look back on another impressive personal season averaging 18.2ppg in 28 minutes. Nailon recorded a league record scoring in double figures in 29 out of the 30 games he played this season (league & playoffs). At one point during the season Nailon led the league in consecutive free throws made, as he dropped 25/25 from the line.
