Estonia beats Czechs in friendly - Aug 11, 2011 (by Janar )

Estonian NT proved again that they are too good to play in Eurobasket division B as they beat Czech Republic firmly 92:76 (48:32). Czechs never led the game. Gregor Arbet (194-F/G-83) made three baskets in a row to take the hosts ahead 8:2 with 3 minutes played. Three-pointers by Sten-Timmu Sokk (181-G-89) and Gert Dorbek (194-G-85) had Estonians going - 18:7 and the 1st quarter ended 22:12 after Lubos Barton dropped a long range shot. In 2nd, the hosts made 11:2 run in less than three minutes and led 33:15. With 4 minutes played, it was 39:19, already. First half ended 48:32. In 3rd quarter, the game became even less entertaining. The hosts made a 17:0 in the middle of the quarter and led 69:35 in 25th minute. Three minutes later the gap was 37 points. The last quarter belonged to the guests who won it 29:11 but they could not prevent Estonian team from a convincing victory.

Kristjan Kangur (202-F-82) paced the winners with 22 points. Janar Talts (205-C-83) added 15+9rbs, Gert Dorbek 13 and Joosep Toome (202-F-85) 10 points. All 13 players scored at least a point for the hosts. Pavel Houska led the Czechs with 12 points.

The teams meet again on Friday.

Czech Republic won the friendly game against Estonia in Jhvi 77:71, tying the mini-series to 1:1. Pavel Houska (201-F-84) led the winners with 23 points and 11 rebounds, making 11/15 from the field. Lubo Barton added 17+10, Pavel Slezak 12 and Jakub Kudlacek 11 points. Czechs dominates the rebounds 39:25, taking advantage from the fact that Janar Talts did not play, after yesterday's knee injury. Kristo Saage (184-G-85) scored 22 points for the hosts, adding 8 steals. Joosep Toome added 18 points and 7 rebounds. Kristjan Kangur missed all 6 shots and was left scoreless.

male si..non avremo la squadra al completo prima della metà di settembre, anche se Ranny e Stip non dovrebbero fare molta strada in Lituania

Vantajja è saltato per altri motivi rispetto a quelli economici, a quanto ho capito.

Gek evidentemente chiedeva più di quello che si può oggettivamente spendere per un 36enne (oltre al fatto che voleva contratto per due anni).

E' vero che sarebbe il quinto lungo, però da quanto sembra Recalcati lo veleva per potersi allenare con un parco lunghi completo. Infatti pare che comunque qualcuno arriverà lo stesso.

Vi invio qs.piccola news dalla vacanza in Peru'...

Janar is fine, nothing serious. He even played against Austria this week. Also Kangur suffered a minor injury(finger) against Georgia NT, but just like Talts, he also played vs Austria. Talts scored 15 points vs Austria and Kangur had 10 points + 8 rebounds.

The next match for our NT will be against Holland, 24th of August. You can watch the game live if you want and see how Kangur and Talts are doing, it will be shown here - http://otse.err.ee/etv2/
